To better meet the needs of our 21,000+ student members, SHRM's Student Engagement Strategy is designed to foster and establish a career-long partnership between student members and SHRM. This will be accomplished through expanded outreach to students, broader engagement at the local level and increased education on how SHRM products and services can be utilized to support their career goals.
With our renewed commitment to this critical member segment - the future of the HR profession - SHRM is taking student member engagement to the next level. But we need your help and support! Research conducted by SHRM revealed increased opportunities for local engagement with HR professionals as a top need of student members. Our hope is to meet that need TOGETHER through local, student-focused events across the country that connect student members with HR professionals as well as fellow students and student chapter advisors/faculty.
To assist our affiliates in planning and hosting a local student engagement program, SHRM has developed a series of toolkits for a variety of HR event formats: case competition; student games; and corporate experience day. Each toolkit includes samples, tools and templates to ensure success!
