Alexandria, Virginia - Jan Farve, Mississippi SHRM Workforce Readiness Director, received the SHRM Pinnacle Award on behalf of the Mississippi State Council of SHRM at the annual SHRM Leadership Conference tonight. This event is held annually in Washington, DC. Farve received this award along with other Mississippi SHRM State Council members and Dorothy Knapp, SHRM Field Services Director.
"I can't stop shaking," Farve said shortly after the announcement. "This is such an honor to be recognized for a program that means so much to me."
This award recognizes excellence and innovation in SHRM's State Councils and individual chapters. Winning the award requires much more than an idea but must have accompanying impact and proven metrics. "We are so proud of Jan's efforts in helping to develop the next generation of Mississippi's workforce," Judy Nail, State Council Director of Mississippi SHRM commented when asked about the win. "She has devoted so much of her free time to developing this program."
"This is not just a win for Jan and MSSHRM but a win for all of Mississippi Human Resources," added Kyle Jones, Mississippi SHRM's Social Media Director. "It will be exciting to see what comes next."
